Who is a Small-business Owner?

A small-business owner (or entrepreneur), by our definition, is anyone who owns a business that has 100 or fewer employees, period!  Everyone who hangs out a shingle qualifies for the title no matter whether the business is private, public, barely surviving, or soaring off the charts. You are a small-business owner whether you have been in the saddle one day, one week, or one decade; whether you are male or female and have a college degree or not; whether you work out of your home or on a fishing boat somewhere off the River Niger.
